To help you avoid this, we've put together a few simple tips to help you quickly recognize your PS5 model :Here’s a simple guide to help you identify your model by looking at the side panel of your console:
- PS5: No dividing lines — seamless full panel
- PS5 Slim: One horizontal line — panel is split into two layers
- PS5 Pro: Three horizontal lines — more layered and bold appearance
✅ If your console has no dividing lines on the side panel, it's a PS5.
✅ If your console has one horizontal line across the side panel, it's a PS5 Slim.
✅ If your console has three horizontal lines with a layered look, it's a PS5 Pro.

Here’s a simple guide to help you identify your model:
- Switch: 6.2-inch screen, detachable Joy-Con controllers, a small piece of a kickstand.
- Switch Lite: Smaller with 5.5-inch screen, one-piece design with non-detachable controllers.
- Switch OLED: Bigger and brighter screen with 7.0-inch screen, detachable Joy-Con controllers, a whole wide piece of a kickstand.
- Switch 2:Bigger screen with 7.9-inch screen, new Joy-Con design with magnetic connectors, frame kickstand.
✅ If your console has bigger with 7.0-inch screen, detachable controllers, a whole wide piece of a kickstand, it's a Switch OLED.
✅ If your console is smaller with 5.5-inch screen, one-piece design with non-detachable controllers, it's a Switch Lite.
